Wish Upon Orion

My good Orion

who in the stars is drawn,

Borrow blind Cupid’s arrow

and shoot it keenly

through my Romeo’s heart.

Cupid,

who’s arrow always strikes true,

forgot to send two.

My heart was struck

with sure aim,

but missed was Romeo.

So now,

I wish upon Orion

from thy place amongst the stars

shoot Cupid’s arrow.

And strike true,

Straight through,

my lover’s heart.

Happy Valentine’s Day to those singles out there! I wrote this one on 1/3/05
