PLAYING AT THE FAIRE 2025

Dear Readers,

Sorry I didn’t write to you last week, I decided to go both weekends and do a larger post covering both weekends in one go. So, let’s talk about the Venezia Renaissance Faire in Bonita Springs, Florida!

My first visit was Saturday the 4th with my husband, and it was a blast!

My husband’s favorite activity was the axe throwing. He participated several times at $1 per throw, and since he was so good the stall owners even gave him a few free throws just because they wanted to watch him throw more. I on the other hand am not very good at throwing weapons. I’m much better at archery (sorry no pictures since we didn’t go to that booth this year); so although I tried my hand at the throwing knives I missed every throw.

Then there were the animals to visit! Of course everyone knows the horses for the jousting competition, but there were also the Knighthawks. An organization focused on the preservation, education, and rehabilitation of various raptor species around the United States (pictures below).

In addition, there was also a petting zoo. It had the cutest baby animals!

Aside from these, there were rides, tons of shows, and interactive games. Not to mention the fantastic food! My favorite were the giant turkey legs and funnel cakes. We also enjoyed watching the acrobats, and listening to live music. Really there was far to much to describe in one small blog.

Sincerely,

Dagger Damsel
